Where Do These Phrases All Come From,

Like I Cannot Do Right For Doing Wrong,

Or Shall I Tell You About The Birds and The Bees,

And I Cannot See The Wood For The Trees.

Where Do These Phrases All Appear,

As I Move On To Verse Two,

While Verse One Brings Up The Rear.

Why Can’t We Say In What We See,

Or Am I Just Barking Up The Wrong Tree.

It’s Like Killing Two Birds With One Stone,

To Find More Phrases and Then Move On.

But Just Be Patient and You Will See,

Because Every Phrase Is A Challenge To Me,

They Say The Best Things In Life Are Free,

As I Leave Verse Two To Start Verse Three.

We All Pull These Phrases From Out Of The Sky,

Like The Well Known Saying Pigs Might Fly,

The Apple Of My Eye Is Another One,

But It’s Not Always Easier Said Than Done.

Now I Am Caught In Two Minds,

Do I Go To Verse Four and Leave Verse Three Behind?

Well I Made Up My Mind and I’ve Moved To Verse Four,

Now On A Roll To Give You Some More.

It’s Quite A Tough Mountain To Climb,

When Finding Phrases and Make Them Rhyme.

But I Will Keep Working My Socks Off,

Until It Is Time For Me To Stop.

Now Verse Four Is No More,

Verse Five Is About To Come Alive.

There Are Phrases That Surround Us Every Single Day,

Like Crocodile Tears To Walls Have Ears,

Just A Few That Some People Say.

Cat Got Your Tongue Another Strange One,

With A Bun In The Oven Too,

It's Raining Cats And Dogs Another Cat Phrase,

(See What I Did There).

Many More To Name But A Few.

Now I Know That This Poem Is Getting Long In The Tooth,

And I Am Willing To Call It A Day.

So I Will Turn A Blind Eye and Leave Verse Five,

And Have My Final Say.

So Many Phrases Put In The Mix,

As I Leave Verse Five To Start Verse Six.

But I Will Keep It Short And Sweet,

Of My Phase Of Phrases That Make My Poem Complete.

So One More Thing Before I Go,

Is The Title Of This Project That You Should Know.

You May Think It Is Quite Absurd But The Title Is….
