DAY TURNS TO NIGHT

As the mist rolls in from across the sea,

DAY…
As The Mist Rolls in from Across The Sea,
Climbing The Hill so Quietly.
The Wind Blows The Trees from Side to Side,
Whistling a Tune as it Passes on By.
Like Diamonds in The Grass, Dew Glistens in The Sun,
As The Morning Wakes Up, Another Day Has Begun.
Planes are Playing Hide and Seek,
With The Clouds Up in The Sky,
Leaving Trails of Smoke Behind Them,
As We Try to Catch Them with Our Eye.
Artist Brushes on Canvas Painting The Blue Sky,
While Birds of Many Colours Flying Way Up High.
So Much Life Up there as We Shield from The Sun,
And Now The Day Has Truly Begun.
People Out Walking Their Dogs,
While Others just Out for Their Daily Jog.
Families on Bikes Pedalling as Far as They Can,
While Lovers are Talking and Making Future Plans.
Kids Sitting on The Grass Playing with Their Phones,
Lots of Selfies being Taken and Sent to Lots of Homes.
NIGHT…***
But Now Today is Coming to an End,
The Sun is Disappearing to Start The Cycle Again.
People Making Their Way Back Home,
While Animals Start to Wake,
The Circle of Life Begins Again,
As Day Turns Into Night.
Birds Start to have Their Last Feed,
Before they Settle Down in The Trees.
Foxes and Badgers Getting Ready to Hunt,
Hedgehogs Preparing to Venture Out.
The Moon comes Out from over The Hill,
The Wind Dies Down and The Trees Go Still.
The Diamonds in The Grass are now up in The Sky,
Shining Brightly as The Odd Cloud is Going By.
Planes still Flying all through The Night,
But this Time You can See Them,
Their Lights are Flashing Bright.
The Mist Descends on The Hill Again,
Being Drawn to The Sea where it all Began.
Waiting for Another Day to Begin,
And The Circle of Life to Start Again.
