IF, BUTS AND MAYBES…

IF Only I Had Said Something Before You Went Away,

Like Saying I Love You and That I Wanted You to Stay.

IF Only I Could Hold You and Kiss You Once Again,

My Heart will then tell Me, It’s not Crying Out in Pain.

IF Only I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time,

And Learn From My Mistakes and Again Make You Mine.

IF I Said What I was Going to Do, Then Maybe We Wouldn’t of Split,

But it is Alright when We Say these Things but Just Try Doing It.

BUT Why is it All Down to Me it Takes Two to Fall in Love,

We Needed to Help and Support Each Other, But it Just was not Enough.

BUT What about Family Where Were They When You Needed Them,

To Busy Thinking about Their Selfish Lives,

While Ours Just Came to an End.

MAYBE Looking Back did We Give Ourselves a Chance?

Or Did We Just Pass Things by Without Even a Glance.

MAYBE We Said and Done the Wrong Things,

And Now are Finding it Hard to Cope.

MAYBE It is Time to Admit Defeat and See it All Go Up in Smoke.

We Ask Ourselves Questions Every Single Day,

Like The IF, BUTS and MAYBES Which Always Come Our Way.

Life Can Be Hard When Deciding What To Do,

But Be Brave, Be Strong, Whatever You Are Going Through.
