MANNERS DON'T HURT...

Is It Hard For You To Say Thank You,

Or Hold a Door To Let Someone Through.

Jumping The Queue When There Is a Line,

Thinking This Is All But Fine.

Is It Hard For You To Say The Word Please,

Or Covering Your Nose When You Start To Sneeze.

Trying To Talk With a Mouth Full Of Food,

Do You Not Think That Is So Rude.

Is It Hard For You Not To Swear All The Time,

Effing and Blinding in Every Line.

Interrupting When Someone’s Trying To Talk,

Not Allowing Them To Have Their Say,

What Manners Were You Taught.

Is It Hard For You To Give Up Your Seat,

On A Train The Bus Or A Tube,

When A Child Or Elderly Person Stands There,

Looking Straight At You.

Don’t Pretend To Be Asleep,

Or Start Playing On Your Phone,

Give Up Your Seat Show That You Care,

And Why Not Make It Known.

Do You Find It Hard To Say The ‘S’ Word,

When You’ve Said Or Done Something Wrong,

Be The Bigger Person When You Know That It’s True,

Say SORRY and Then Move On.

Manners Don’t Hurt In All Walks Of Life,

A Please, A Sorry Or Thank You,

Have Respect In What You Say and In What You Do.
